Fire Magic Echelon Diamond 790 BBQ Grill

Fire Magic Echelon Diamond 790 Premium Gas Grill

Fire Magic has always been known for professional quality grilling, giving the chef unparalleled heat to sear the meat (sealing in the natural juices) and cooking control (you can sear a steak and bake a cake) but the Echelon’s design has stepped all of that up a notch – or two!

From the Echelon 790′s unique burner system (3 cast stainless steel E Burners – they are powered by 33,000 btu’s each), to the removable zone dividers, each element is designed to give you greater consistency of cooking (no hot or cold spots), creating up to three truly independent cooking zones.

Hot surface ignition insures that it lights every time – even in the pouring rain!

The Built-In LCD digital meat and grill thermometer has 3 sensors inside the grill so you know the temperature at the cooking surface of each zone (the only place you should be checking the temperature of your grill) as well as a stainless steel meet probe to get your meat on your rotisserie done to the perfect temperature.

One of the smartest innovations (they should have one the Vesta just for this) is the rotisserie rod storage. If you have ever owned a grill with a backburner, you know how hard it is to find a place for your spit rod.. They have cleverly stored it right behind the hood!

Optional Magic Window (only on Echelon Diamond) allows you to see your food inside the grill without opening the hood.

The optional Power Hood is the newest innovation, (only available on Echelon Diamonds) just hit the button on the remote and the hood goes up or down by itself.

Even without the cool powerhood, each Echelon hood is spring assisted (Feather Lite) so even on a massive hood that is on this size grill, all it takes is one finger to open or close.

Dual Fuel – Just add a Charcoal Basket to any FireMagic gas grill and you have a hardwood charcoal grill that is lit by gas.

Personalized – Each Echelon Diamond can be Personalized with a stainless plaque with your name. Your Echelon is made just for you.

BBQ Parts

A1Stoves.com offers a wide selection of Vermont Castings barbeque parts.  Summer is the time to get that bbq ready for outdoor fun.

The two most important parts on your grill are the grates and the burners. Yes, the outside matters as does the ignition system, but the grates are where you cook the food and the burners are how you do it. If you buy a grill that comes with an inferior grade of grate, you will find yourself replacing them so often you’ll wish you had bought a more expensive grill. Vermont Castings barbeque parts, the grates in particular, are made of high quality porcelain coated cast iron. This type grate is highly rated for its strength and durability. As long as the porcelain is treated properly and does not chip off, your grates will not rust and you will not have to replace them.

Other Vermont Castings barbeque parts, such as the burners are also made of high quality materials. The burners are the part replaced most often on gas grills and on Vermont Castings barbeques; they are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel doesn’t rust and can sustain high temperatures. The best part about buying a solid brand name like Vermont Castings is that you can find Vermont Castings barbeque parts online. Part prices are reasonable and oftentimes there are free shipping deals to be found.

Other areas to look at when purchasing a new grill include the size of the cooking area and the power. While BTUs aren’t everything, you do want to know what you can expect your grill to do. The amount of power should compliment the amount of cooking space you have. You should know that you could find Vermont Castings barbeque parts to fit any of the areas of the grill that may need them.

When looking for a grill that you want to last, you have to look at every aspect of what is available. You probably won’t want to go out and buy the cheapest grill you can find unless you plan on buying a new grill every year. You do want to be able to replace individual parts; making the availability of Vermont Castings barbeque parts a very attractive aspect of buying a Vermont Castings gas grill.

How to Troubleshoot a Gas BBQ Grill

Spring is finally here! Time to spruce up the yard and have folks over for outdoor fun. Don’t forget to give a little attention to your gas BBQ grill before you invite the neighborhood over for steaks. We’ve compiled some simple steps to maintaining and troubleshooting your gas barbecue grill. If you find you need parts for your grill, please visit our vast BBQ parts section at A1Stoves.com

Things You’ll Need:
Dish detergent
Air compressor
Screwdriver
Sandpaper

1. Check your propane supply. Turn on the regulator. Look for leaks in the gas line by mixing a few drops of dish detergent with water. Apply this mixture to the gas line and watch for the appearance of bubbles, which indicate a leak in the line. Replace the line.

2. Reset the excess flow regulator. The gas grill’s propane tank regulator may sense the grill is getting too much gas, when it’s actually not getting any gas. Turn the propane valve off. Turn off all the burners on the gas grill. Disconnect the regulator from the tank. Re-connect the regulator and tighten the connections with a wrench. Slowly turn the valve to the “On” position. Turn on a burner and try to ignite it. It should light if that was the problem. If it doesn’t solve the problem, the regulator is bad and you need to replace it.

3. Clean out the venturi tubes on the gas burner if you have a weak, yellow flame. Any small insect or piece of debris can cause the gas not to flow properly. Use an air compressor to blow debris out of the gas burner or wash them out with a hose. Allow them to dry for at least half an hour before trying to relight them if you wash them out. If there is too much build up in the gas burner to clean them, buy replacement burners.

4. Adjust the air control vents located behind the control knobs to get a more uniform blue flame. Use a screwdriver to tighten or loosen the screws to adjust the amount of air to the flame.

5. Clean the igniter if it no longer sparks. Use a piece of fine sandpaper to clean the electrode tip. Check the wiring to make sure it’s intact. Replace an ignitor that still doesn’t set off a spark.

6. Try a different propane tank. Sometimes the problem is the tank and not the gas grill.
